Three misconceptions

We believe we are safe more often than we actually are.

  • Common misconception « It's overcast, I don't need protection. »

    In reality

UVA rays account for approximately 95% of UV radiation. They penetrate clouds, and their intensity varies little from one season to the next. They are responsible for skin aging.

  • Common misconception « I spend my days inside. »

    In reality

UVA rays pass through certain types of glass. An office near a window, a car commute: the exposure is there, every day.

  • Common misconception « My foundation already contains SPF. »

    In reality

Your foundation is labeled SPF50. At the amount you actually apply, it acts like an SPF15. And SPF only measures UVB rays: protection against UVA rays is indicated by the PA rating.
